Two poems

poem from Arc Hive

Then, a need for colour, different sorts
             of evidence
       shadows of sulfur & inevitable
                      appearance of revolutions’

       Cool flame, recombinant
galleries’ water as a windy
             fire over the harbour
                     against plastic

             Or Finger Wharf resident
                     ’s cruisers deleterious lapping
             out afterlight’s
completely different technologies, &

                     (unaccustomed to so much

Even, perhaps
                      Another red day’s evaporate mode
                      making sense

Zukofsky’s Other List

Clear eyed, physical vision,
some dictionary work after The Correspondence
like 80 flowers

enlarges what’s known, a right--
thorough reading, persistent, though
green without tooth, daffodil

lonely, dioxy blood
red & pale.

(Catallus! Kor, a man
not peer of Gods,

alphabet of subjects!)

Versus the mind’s I
guess I’ll xerox the other
bits and pieces.
