I check the calendar,

admire autumn’s choice of the possible.

One rainbow leads to another,
a butterfly leads to a wasp.

The north wind darts by,
icy old Balsbub, sure, he’s your best of friends.

But November stays indoors
reading The Iliad,

cheering on the heroes of both sides,
con impunitas.
