Metamorphic diathermal annealing
On 29 April 1943, researchers at the Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge, England, successfully tested the technique of metamorphic diathermal annealing, whereby the structural components of a poem are heat-treated, and made impervious to attack by even the most powerful critical tools.
